The Leaning Tower of Pisa

OK, so the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa has been straightened--but only by 50cm. However, this is a great architectural and structural feat, 20 years in the making. For the past two decades, engineers and have been working on the bell tower to correct the 1mm additional lean that the building was experiencing year after year. Today, it stands 50cm straighter and supports a 3.99cm lean.
